Four AJRA rowers — Sarah Hudnall, Maggie Nugent, and Maddie Wilson from the Varsity Women’s squad and Aja List from Novice Women — attended a Junior National Team ID camp Feb. 19-20 in Orlando.  The camp is designed to identify the next generation of rowing talent from throughout the United States and bring them into the USRowing National Team system.  All four rowers set personal records in their 2K erg tests during the event and stroked boats in practices on the water.  VW Head Coach Bryce Carlson said that the Junior  National coaches reported being very impressed with the AJRA talent and looked forward to following their progress.  Congratulations, ladies, and thanks for representing AJRA so well!

Congratulations to AJRA rowers for a strong showing at Atlanta Erg Sprints!  Earning first place and the Hammer Award for setting a 1K record for Jr. Coxswain Men was Ryan Olliffe, VM squad.  AJRA also swept the Jr. Coxswain Women category, with Tullika Saraf (VW) placing 1st, Elizabeth Forestner (VW) 2nd, and Georgia Murray (NM) 3rd.

With a lot of encouragement from screaming spectators, AJRA relay teams also took 1st and 2nd place.  From our Varsity squads, Ali Bardowell earned 2nd and Emmeline Reed 3rd in the Jr. Women competition, and Zach Lawhon placed 4th among Jr. Men.  AJRA Novice squads also did well in their first indoor competition with NW  Aja List taking 4th and Cassi Lobaugh 5th and NM Carlos Rodriguez earning 4th and Ret Thomas 5th.  Way to go, AJRA!
