2009-2010 Board Members:

President: Steve Bender

Responsibilities: Oversees the general operation of the club.  Responsible for delegation of responsibilities among various board members and the club in general. Bio: Father of Betsy Bender ('10). Served as Vice-President for 2 years prior to becoming President.

Vice-President: Mary Kay Snyder

Responsibilities: Assists the president in the general operation of the club.  Helps with the delegation of responsibilites over the year and at regattas. Bio: Mother of Maggie ('09) and Quinn ('12) Snyder. Served on the Board of Directors as Secretary for 1 year and Spiritwear Co-Lead for 2 years prior to becoming Vice-President.

Secretary: Dottie Cecil

Responsibilities: In charge of running and taking the minutes of board meetings.  Helps maintain the written records of the club. Bio: Mother of Matt ('11). Former AJRA positions include Hospitality Committee and Coordinator - School Liaisons and Communications (2 years).

Treasurer: Lisa Mittelstadt

Responsibilities: Oversees the general financial management of the club.  Helps with preparation and evaluation of annual budget.  Works with other board members to provide funding for their activities. Bio:

Director of Facilities & Equipment: Ron Mountford

Responsibilities: Coordinates with the coaches to make sure that the rowers have all the equipment they need.  Oversees the upkeep of the boathouse and equipment. Bio:

Director of Hospitality: Arlene Meyer

Responsibilities: Oversees the running of AJRA events.  Responsible for delegating the responsibilities of food purchasing, preparation, etc. for regattas. Bio:

Coaches Liaison: Joanne ODonnell

Responsibilities:  Acts as a liason between the board and the coaches.  Organizes meetings with the coaches to ensure they have the support from the board that they need. Bio:

Director at Large: Maureen Goldman

Responsibilities: Responsible for the promotion of the club at area schools. Bio: This is Maureen's 4th year with AJRA. Her son Matt rows in the varsity lightweight eight boat. With a background in communications, she is ready to spread the word about AJRA this year.
