On September 17, 2011 Atlanta Junior Rowing Association partnered with the local rowing community to do our part in the fight to cure breast cancer. We are so proud to be part of this annual event with other rowing organizations in North Atlanta. Our AJRA rowers stayed on the water for 12 continuous hours. The coaches did a fantastic job keeping our boats scheduled to constantly have oars in thewater. Our part alone raised $4,552 and the money will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation.

In honor of this event, our rowers participate in a tie-dye party the week prior to the race. The rowers always have fun making their tie dye t-shirts and then wearing them during the Row for the Cure to really stand out on the river.  There are lots of creative teams out there showing their support for the cause with spirit!

A huge thank you goes out to all of our coaches, parent volunteers, and board members who helped make this event a success and kept all those kids fed! We really appreciate all that you do.
