Do you have friends who are athletic but not part of any sport?

Maybe they aren’t on a high school team or are just burned out on traditional sports and looking for something new.   Invite them to AJRA’s free Fall Open House to learn about the Olympic sport of rowing!  The Open House will be held on Sat., Aug. 17 from 9am to noon at the AJRA boathouse, 245 Azalea Dr., Roswell for co-eds aged 12-18 and their parents.

Openings are available in AJRA’s middle school program and for high school rowers and coxswains on both the Men’s and Women’s Novice squads.  No experience is necessary — just an interest in learning a new sport based on fitness and conditioning, competition, and teamwork.

Participants at the Open House can:

*Tour the AJRA boathouse.
*Get into a rowing shell.
*Learn basic technique.
*Watch race footage.
*Try out land training equipment.
*And learn about college recruiting opportunities!

Coaches, parents, and current and collegiate rowers will be on hand to answer questions about rowing and discuss AJRA’s Fall programs, practices and competitions.

No sign-up for the Open House is necessary.  However, anyone interested in signing up for Fall will need to go to the Fall registration link (see right side of this homepage) to register and also attend the Parent Registration Meeting on Sun., Aug. 18.
