Policies

Atlanta Junior Rowing Association has policies in place for the protection of our athletes and to define the expectations of this organization. Registration and payment for all athletes is completed online through RegPoint registration, and each of the following policies are listed there. By completing that registration, the rower and parents have agreed to comply with these policies.

Absentee Policy

 For Fall 2015, the attendance requirements are:

  • Rowers may miss at most 4 practices from August 10th through October 9th, or they may not be allowed to row in the Chattanooga Head Race on October 10th.
  • Rowers may miss at most 6 practices from August 10th through November 6th, or they may not be allowed to row at the Head of the Hooch Regatta on November 7th – 8th.

 

Refund Policies

  • For Varsity or Novice, the $50 deposit processed at registration is nonrefundable.
  • Refunds will not be issued for any Varsity or Novice rower or coxswain that has been selected for the competitive squad.
  • For Rec Team and DSquad, refund requests must be completed by the parent or guardian responsible for payment and received no later than September 15th. Refunds will be paid in the amount of registration money paid, less an Administrative Fee of $30.
  • ALL REFUNDS REQUIRE AN AJRA REFUND REQUEST FORM TO BE SUBMITTED. Submit completed forms to: Sarah Low, Program Manager (ajra.information@gmail.com).
  • Rowers withdrawing on or after September 15th for either Rec Team or DSquad are no longer eligible for a refund.
