What are you doing to get ready for Fall?”AJRA has summer camps for returning rowers at all levels– Development Squad, Novice and Varsity. There are still a few openings for the 2-week Returning Rower camp in mid-July. Click on the Ronin link for details and to register online. Note that the time has been changed to evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm. Head Coach for Returning Rower camp will be veteran coach, Jim Price. The only requirement is to have rowed for a minimum of one season. Focus of this camp is improving rowing stroke and technique.
Registration is also open online for the 3-week pre-season Novice and Varsity camps beginning in late July. Check out the Ronin link for complete details. These camps will be led by regular season Novice and Varsity coaches and are intended only for those rowers planning to signup for fall. The focus will be both fitness and rowing technique.
Trevor Appier, a rising senior at Roswell High School, has been selected to attend USRowing’s Junior National Development Camp this summer. This camp is designed to identify high-performing athletes early in their rowing careers, and to give them the skills and tools necessary to become a better and faster rower, with the ultimate goal of earning a seat on the 2013 Junior Worlds team.
