Teaching the team’s rookies, Developmental Coaches Joe Bricker and Mark Jakubowicz are the start of the program for many AJRA rowers. Building a solid foundation of good habits, understanding of technique, and physical fitness are just the beginning.

Bio: Spring D-squad Asst. Coach, LTR Summer Head Coach, D-squad Fall Coach. Executive Board Member for the Shepherd Center’s Junior Committee. Joe loves the outdoors, mountain biking, hiking, rowing. He is also on IM softball and kickball. And then there’s Hudson-his dog! Bio: Began rowing for AJRA his junior year, attending nationals in 2001. Rowed for Georgia State University and the University of Georgia. Has coached AJRA’s Learn to Row program in the past summers. Mark enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and absolutely loves pizza!

Bio:D-squad Coach, Began rowing in 2005 with AJRA. Heads up the weekend D-squad program and Parent Learn to Row. Matt also is a competitive slalom waterskier. Right now he is floating in between majors, but at the moment is studying International Affairs. Bio: D-squad Asst. Coach. Began rowing for AJRA his freshman year and continued throughout all of high-school. Seth received training through US Rowing on both coxing and sculling. He enjoys cross-fit, running, hiking, and anything on the water.
